There are two kinds of communication in this software: - Off line connection - and on-line connection. If you are traveling and you want to know about the happenings at your company; you can ask your secretary to make a compressed back up file and send it to you by Email, and you will extract it in your laptop/computer and see everything in your accounting software, but you can only read and not edit it. We call this kind of connection 'off-line'. The other method is 'on-line'. You can connect all of your computers from outside to your server in head office through internet, and all you need for this kind of connection is renting dedicated IP address. The rent price is very cheap, it is almost 100 USD per year.
You might have heard about Oracle or SQL server. These database managers are very famous. This software is presented by three different database managers: - Access, or as we call it Silver Package, is the accounting software when it is using Microsoft Access database manager. - SQL Server, mostly called Gold Package by us, is the accounting software when it is using SQL Server database manager. - Oracle, called Platinum Package by us, is the accounting software when it is using Oracle database manager.
The answer is: They have exactly the same features, and their difference is only their speed and ability to handle more computers in network. With Silver Packages you can have maximum 5 computers in your network, and Gold Packages can handle up to 25 computers. Platinum Packages can handle more than 500 computers in your network. Note: If you select Gold or Platinum Packages, you should buy SQL server or Oracle database manager separately, and those are not included our accounting software price. 
It is a cashier system which allows the operator to enter purchased Items by scanning their barcodes or selecting items by touch screen monitors, and prints the bill with small printers. In P.O.S System, customers can pay by cash, credit card or foreign currency You probably might have seen this system in some big supermarkets and shopping centers like Spynes, Carrefour, IKEA, some restaurants, coffee shops, hotels, bars etc. By using AFG Accounting Software you have complete P.O.S system.
In this system you can scan and insert all staffs documents, like Passport copy, visa copy, graduation certificates, etc. The software also controls expiry dates for visas, passports, contracts, license and any other documents which has expiry dates. The system will warn you before the date of the expiry.
In this section you can define the organization chart of your company as well as the departments. For example: sales department, secretary department, accounting department etc. Then for each department, you will define variables, calculation formula and payment rules. When you enter a staff to any department, he/she inherits all the variables and payment rules from department definition. You can also change some of the specific formula for each staff out of its definition in department.
Then the software calculate for you the cost of each job, you have job balances and job statements.
There is 'Drill Down' ability in reports of this software also, And what is 'Drill Down'? 'Drill Down' is ability to go to lower level of reports and getting more details by double clicking in each row. For example: In 'Trial Balance' you see balance of each bank accounts, and if you double click on each Bank account you will see Bank Statement of that selected account, and once again if you double click on each row in this report you will see the Voucher of that transaction.
You can compare up to five ledgers together by chart.

In most of other accounting software you can define only one method for all Items but in AFG Accounting software any Stock Item can have it's own and may be different method of costing. For example one item uses Average method and another uses FIFO.
For example for manager you set access time always but for accountant you can set it only between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
